To explain on RS3 Items the previous sentence out of my previous comment

To explain on RS3 Items the previous sentence out of my previous comment, general, this subreddit is for Runescape’s community, and as subreddit mods, we’d rather our presence be minimal. We don’t wish to be in the spotlight for driving community discussion. While some other subreddits might have an extremely visible mod presence, that is not something we are considering.

I really don’t think anybody in any capacity expects a plug and play solution nor expects anyone in the mod team to break their spine for no pay. Filters require maintenance to correctly function, take spam filters for e-mail; that’s decades of work to be certain the Nigerian prince doesn’t make it into your inbox and hell sometimes it still doesn’t work, occasionally my 2FA winds up in spam, but we still don’t delete a spam filter. I just want to explain that I’m not talking you at some presser or something just having a dialog.

I believe this just reinforces not only the debate for having an Automod notify potential new posters of the’gentleman’s agreement’, or even officially separating them. You’ve got a virtual’desire path’ going on where your neighborhood has made a decision to segregate the content, do not you feel you should listen to them? These are all growing aches and nothing that can’t be sorted out with time, its one thing to say that nobody has the drive or capacity to maintain a filter right now but don’t make it out to be an impossible effort. In addition, I feel like I am in a soviet court house and the bailiff was just told to take the man who jaywalked, bro you do not have to delete OSRS or phishing posts in this case simply have automod remark on it with information pointing people in the ideal direction.

Unless we are talking about a filter limiting what can be said on the subreddit I am really confused about why anyone would want to bypass a filter that supplies them with information. If supposedlyy’all attempted to knock some key phrases or complaints being thrown around this sub from time to time then yeah it is a’difficulty’ (You men wouldn’t be the first game sub to have it, blink twice if Jagex hasy’all of hostage) for you guys but I don’t see a lot of people trying to submit”connection – totally no ph15h guiys” or even”I feel this is a de h 1 5 h ing attempt guys” or”look at this cool drop I received on oh ess are ess” so they do not have a comment in their post from a bot.

I’m just trying to be more thorough in my answers. The email entry filter has been seen as a low priority fix, and these posts were (and are) becoming caught in different filters, so it was deemed unnecessary for the time being. However, the other filters aren’t specially designed for those posts, so only part are getting flagged. Once more of the important tasks are finished, we will look at some of the lower priority ones. It wouldn’t require much time to receive a setup set up to start testing a better version. Additionally, a vast majority of subreddit moderation is not visible openly, so while it may appear that we’re not doing anything occasionally, there’s a great deal that goes on behind the scenes as well as approving/removing articles and comments.

Our concern about filtering in this case is not whether someone will attempt to bypass this, and that comment was just to further the stage that filters aren’t always effective. Perhaps mentioning the intentional bypassing was a little off subject for my previous comment. As previously mentioned, the amount of OSRS-specific articles (not pertinent to RS3) submitted this is minimal as is, and they do not amount to a notable portion of our daily posts. However, those posts are outnumbered by other people which compare or link to both matches.
