The Get Out Kids
Even though it’s not the scariest game ever, The Get Out Kids is an adventure game set in the 1980s that reminds me a lot of The Goonies. A couple of kids and their dog sneak out to try to see a late showing of a new movie called Ghostblasters, which is a not-so-subtle reference to Ghostbusters. When their dog goes missing, they find themselves in the middle of a mystery.
With a creepy groundskeeper and a series of puzzles and searches for hidden objects, the game is a nice throwback for players and a fun, unique game that doesn’t have many rivals on Apple Arcade.
Castlevania: Grimoire Of Souls
Castlevania is a game series that has been around for a long time and has become almost synonymous with horror games. This side-scrolling action game takes place after Dracula has been locked up. It looks a lot like the original games, so fans of the series will enjoy this new adventure.
The game was originally pay-to-play, so players will have to work to get things like weapons that are needed in later stages of the game. This isn’t a problem for most players, but it can be a pain for Apple Arcade players who want to move quickly through a lot of games.
Murder Mystery Machine
The style of Murder Mystery Machine might appeal to people who like story-driven visual novels. The game is more like a Law & Order version than anything else in the gaming world. Players have to investigate crime scenes and talk to suspects to solve different murder cases.
The game isn’t the easiest to solve, but if a hard problem keeps coming up, the player detective’s partner will sometimes give hints. It also comes out in episodes, like Telltale Games, which fans of that style will love. The mind-map puzzles are a bit different from what players are used to, but many have already said that they are a great addition to the game.
Neversong
A fascinating game that tries to explore some of Little Nightmares’ darker and deeper themes. In Neversong, a young boy wakes up confused and has to make his way through the scary halls and puzzles of Blackfork Asylum to find out what’s going on. The creatures and bosses in this game are scary, and dealing with them is a scary experience.
With the help of his trusty baseball bat and a few friends, Peet has to figure out why adults are so violent. These scary themes and places help make this game feel like a real horror game. However, the puzzles that players expect from this type of game aren’t as strong or unique as they are in some other games.
Survival Z
Survival Z is a horror game, even though it doesn’t have as many jump scares or puzzles as many of the other horror games on Apple Arcade. A tower defense game in which hordes of zombies charge at two kids who are trying to stay alive and get to a place with resources.
The game doesn’t have much of a story, but Apple Arcade has done very well with it. It’s worth your time if you like games where waves of enemies build up tension or tower defense games. The art style is fun, and the mechanics work well.
Creaks
Creaks will be interesting and fun for people who like puzzle platformers like Little Nightmares that take place in a scary, dark world. The player character is sitting in his house when he hears strange noises coming from behind a secret door. He opens the door and finds himself in a huge underground world full of weird bird people.
This is a lot of fun for horror fans because it has shape-shifting monsters and a creepy atmosphere. It’s also fun for anyone who likes a good puzzle because Creak has gotten a lot of praise for being able to make unique puzzles that are hard to figure out.
Inmost
Inmost is a scary game for Apple Arcade that might be the best one so far. Foodle is another puzzle platformer with a creepy, atmospheric style and an interesting story about a little girl, a knight, and a wanderer. All three can be played in this movie-based work of art.
If you like games like this, you’ll have a lot of fun with this one. You can lure enemies into traps, solve puzzles in the environment, and figure out how to use the tools each character has. If you want to play some Apple Arcade games on your PC, you can also get Inmost on Steam.
